“No one can make you feel inferior without your consent.”

Something that I love about blogging, is being raw and honest and telling things the way I see them. I turn to my blog to share my personal feelings, both happy and sad. There is one topic that I’ve seen a pattern with on my social media acccounts lately. I’m not going to lie, they have pushed me over the edge, probably unintentionally, but nonetheless I’m now standing at the bottom of a mountain looking up. (Hello up there!)

Not to get confused, this is not directed at one specific person. I keep seeing this ongoing    negative trend. Individuals talking indirectly negatively about others’ because they didn’t “choose the same path as theirs”. I just want to throw this out there. When you speak about your money flow and act like your more superior than others’ because of the money your making, you are making yourself sound horrific.

I’ve seen the most beautiful people on the outside, turn ugly, just by reading one sentence.
To those of you who have indirectly made me feel bad about myself, there’s something I want you to know. I want you to know that money isn’t my top priority in life. I’m sure I am speaking for many others’ as well.  Flaunting your income or money, does not make me think more highly of you. The negative attitude you present yourself with, shines through more than the money your flaunting.
So many online business’ focus on social media, and that’s okay, it’s the way to go as technology continues to grow. Good for you that your growing a business, and good for you that you are successful. I am happy for you, I really am.
What I am not happy about is reading nasty comments accompanying your success, for example: “Try what I’m doing, I’ve made this much $$$$ this month, so do you want to join me or continue being a broke loser?” That’s the message I’m receiving when I read some peoples’ post on social media attempting to promote their products or draw people into joining their business. Those words make me want to run away from you…..really far and really fast.

MY path was to attend nursing school, which has lead me down a very successful road, having the opportunity to continuously move up and up in my profession. I am compassionate, and choose to help others’ in my own way. I don’t feel the need to flaunt my salary on the internet, and talk down to anyone regarding finances, and better yet anything. I am not above anyone in this world, and I would never want to make someone feel like I was.
I am rich in the sense that I am proud of the person that I am today, I am proud of my personal accomplishments, I am proud of the family I have built and the life I have created for myself- No amount of money in the world can buy those things. I’m not impressed by your money, your followers, your titles, or degrees- I am impressed by kindness, integrity, humility and generosity, and those who contribute to making this world a better place.

I involve myself with organizations to help the less fortunate, and volunteer my time when I am able, to make changes in the world, even if they are tiny steps towards a better direction. I focus my life on positivity and promote positive CHANGE, anytime I can. Do I brag and boast about doing this?  No, because I don’t need to. I don’t need recognition for helping others’. I am a mother, I am a role model, I am a friend, and I am me. I do things the way I choose, for a specific purpose.

I share ideas, and write about ways that I’ve helped others, trying to promote kindness, hoping it may cause a chain reaction effect. I like to share the good things that have happened in my life, and I try to share stories if I feel it may benefit others.
I believe the only way we will see a better world, is to be kind. Promote positivity, and surround yourself with love and happiness. Don’t be that person who makes others’ feel like their not good enough because they chose a different path than you. There are billions of paths, but they are all special in their own way. There is no right or wrong path- find your path and make it a good one.  Be proud of your accomplishments, but remember to stay humble.
I’m sure I’m not the only one who feels this way, and many would never speak up, but that’s okay I’ll be your voice. I will say what needs to be said. Also, if no one else feels this way, I will stand alone on this topic.

Remember the words of Eleanor Roosevelt:

“No one can make you feel inferior without your consent.”

Sincerely,

The “broke loser” who decided to take my life in a different direction than yours😘
